Our air conditioning services include:

  • AC repair

  • Emergency AC repair

  • Air conditioning installation

  • Air conditioning replacement

We evaluate the complete cooling system before recommending work. This helps us determine whether the problem is located in the outdoor unit, indoor equipment, thermostat, electrical controls, drainage system, or airflow components.

AC Repair

An air conditioner can continue running even when it is no longer cooling effectively. Weak airflow, warm air, long operating cycles, and uneven temperatures may indicate a developing problem that needs professional attention.

Schedule AC repair if you notice:

  • Warm or room-temperature air from the vents

  • No airflow or weak airflow

  • Uneven cooling between rooms

  • An air conditioner that will not turn on

  • Frequent starting and stopping

  • A system that runs continuously

  • Unusual buzzing, rattling, grinding, or squealing sounds

  • Water around the indoor unit

  • Ice on the refrigerant lines or indoor coil

  • Unusual odors while the system operates

  • A thermostat that does not control the system correctly

  • An unexplained increase in cooling costs

  • Repeated circuit breaker trips

  • Indoor humidity that remains uncomfortable while the AC is running

These symptoms can have several possible causes. Our technicians inspect the relevant components and test system operation before determining what needs to be repaired.

For an urgent cooling failure, Staton also provides emergency HVAC services.

AC System Diagnosis and Repair

Air conditioning systems depend on multiple electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, drainage, and airflow components. A problem in one part of the system can affect the performance of the entire cooling cycle.

Depending on the symptoms and equipment, our AC diagnostic process may include evaluating:

  • Thermostat settings and response

  • Electrical connections and controls

  • Capacitors, contactors, and relays

  • Condenser fan operation

  • Compressor performance

  • Refrigerant-side operation

  • Evaporator and condenser coils

  • Blower motor and indoor airflow

  • Air filters and accessible restrictions

  • Condensate drains and pumps

  • System temperatures and operating cycles

  • Communication between indoor and outdoor equipment

Once we identify the source of the problem, we explain the condition of the system and the recommended repair. We also account for the equipment’s age, overall condition, and repair history when discussing whether additional work may be needed.

Common Air Conditioning Repairs

Staton repairs a wide range of central air conditioning problems. Depending on the system and diagnosis, service may involve:

  • Capacitor replacement

  • Contactor or relay replacement

  • Condenser fan motor repair

  • Blower motor repair

  • Thermostat repair or replacement

  • Condensate drain clearing

  • Condensate pump replacement

  • Electrical connection repair

  • Control board repair

  • Coil cleaning or related coil service

  • Refrigerant leak evaluation

  • Compressor troubleshooting

  • Frozen evaporator coil diagnosis

  • Airflow correction

  • Replacement of other failed AC components

We base repairs on the condition identified during testing rather than the symptom alone. For example, a frozen coil may be related to restricted airflow, an indoor equipment problem, or a refrigerant-side issue. Correcting the underlying cause is necessary to restore dependable cooling.

Air Conditioning Installation

A new air conditioning system must be selected for the home and installed as part of a compatible HVAC system. Equipment capacity, indoor components, ductwork, electrical requirements, controls, and airflow all affect cooling performance.

When planning an AC installation, we consider:

  • The size and layout of the home

  • Existing heating and cooling equipment

  • Cooling capacity requirements

  • Compatibility between indoor and outdoor components

  • Ductwork and airflow conditions

  • Electrical service requirements

  • Thermostat and control compatibility

  • Condensate drainage

  • Efficiency preferences

  • Comfort or humidity concerns in the home

Correct sizing is important. An undersized air conditioner may struggle to maintain the desired temperature during hot weather. Oversized equipment may operate in short cycles that interfere with comfort and humidity control.

Staton provides complete system planning through our HVAC installation and replacement services.

Air Conditioning Replacement

Replacement may be appropriate when an air conditioner has extensive deterioration, requires repeated repairs, or no longer provides reliable cooling. It may also be necessary when a failed outdoor unit cannot be matched properly with the existing indoor equipment.

We evaluate the current system before recommending replacement. Factors we consider include:

  • The condition of the compressor and coils

  • The type and extent of the current failure

  • Recent repair history

  • Availability of compatible replacement parts

  • Compatibility between indoor and outdoor equipment

  • Current cooling performance

  • Equipment capacity

  • Electrical and ductwork requirements

  • The expected value of another repair

If repair remains practical, we explain what is needed. If replacement provides the stronger long-term solution, we help you compare appropriate equipment options for the property.

Qualifying customers may have access to HVAC financing for approved air conditioning installation and replacement projects.

Central Air Conditioning and Split Systems

Staton services central air conditioning systems that use an outdoor condenser and indoor evaporator coil to cool air distributed through ductwork. We also work with split-system configurations in which the indoor and outdoor components operate as a matched system.

Some homes use heat pumps rather than cooling-only air conditioners. Because heat pumps provide both cooling and heating, their equipment and service requirements differ in important ways. Staton provides dedicated heat pump services for those systems.

Our technicians identify the equipment installed in the home and service it according to its specific configuration.

Indoor Air Handlers and AC Performance

The outdoor air conditioner cannot cool the home effectively without properly operating indoor equipment. The evaporator coil absorbs heat from the air, while the blower moves conditioned air through the duct system.

Problems with the indoor unit can cause weak airflow, frozen coils, uneven temperatures, water leaks, or a system that runs without cooling the home properly. Staton provides dedicated air handler services for indoor equipment that requires inspection, repair, or replacement.

Evaluating both sides of the cooling system helps us avoid treating an indoor airflow problem as an outdoor AC failure.

AC Maintenance and Tune-Ups

Preventive maintenance gives our technicians an opportunity to inspect the air conditioner before or during periods of heavy summer use. It can reveal dirty components, weak electrical parts, drainage problems, airflow restrictions, or other conditions that may affect cooling performance.

An AC maintenance visit may include checking:

  • Thermostat operation

  • Electrical connections and controls

  • Capacitors and contactors

  • Condenser fan operation

  • Accessible coil condition

  • Refrigerant-side performance

  • Blower and system airflow

  • Condensate drainage

  • Air filter condition

  • Operating temperatures

  • System startup and shutdown

  • Overall cooling performance

Regular HVAC maintenance can support efficient operation and provide a clearer understanding of the system’s condition. Maintenance cannot prevent every breakdown, but it can help identify developing concerns before they cause a loss of cooling.

Homeowners who prefer ongoing HVAC and plumbing care can also consider the Staton Comfort Club.

Cooling, Humidity, and Indoor Air Quality

Air conditioning affects both indoor temperature and moisture levels. When cooling cycles, airflow, or equipment capacity are not appropriate for the home, the space may feel humid even when the thermostat temperature appears normal.

We assess the cooling equipment first to determine whether an AC performance issue is contributing to the concern. When the home requires additional filtration, purification, or air-quality equipment, Staton also provides indoor air quality services.

Residential and Light Commercial AC Service

Staton provides air conditioning service for single-family homes, townhomes, older properties, renovated homes, and newer residential systems. We service existing equipment even when Staton did not perform the original installation.

We also provide qualifying light commercial air conditioning services for rooftop and split systems up to five tons. Our team works with small businesses, churches, retail properties, clubhouses, and other light commercial facilities that need AC repair, maintenance, installation, or replacement.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE OUTSTANDING EFFORTS OF TWO OF YOUR TECHNICIANS: JOSH BEADENKOPF AND STIVEN LLANDO!!
In the past month I have had to deal with plumbing/HVAC issues that resulted in water leaks in my basement and my attic. The problem in my basement included the installation of a new sump pump. The technician in this case was Josh Beadenkopf. Josh provided excellent customer service. His demeanor was very professional and he carefully explained every option to solve my problem. He was very patient and answered all of my questions. He did a great job and definitely alleviated some of the stress I was feeling about my situation. I was so impressed that when I experienced my second issue with water in my attic, I specifically requested him to assist which Staton accommodated. He came out but determined that I needed a HVAC specialist. He made arrangements for someone to come out that afternoon and even called me to follow up and make sure I got the help I needed.
Kudos to Josh!!
The HVAC technician that came out for the issue in my attic was Stiven Llando. I hit the jackpot again with a a professional, knowledgable and personable technician! He was very thorough, determined and as a result was able to successfully unclog the drain lines that had caused the water leaks. He very patiently explained the entire process and included pictures. Stiven made several recommendations including installation of a safety mechanism that would help avoid future water damage which I accepted as well as other options there were available to me to consider. He did outstanding work! Kudos to Stiven!

Updating my previous positive review with additional positive feedback. We had an issue come up with a sewer line replacement and WL Staton responded promptly and resolved the issue and put our property back to as close to how they found it as possible. They earned our repeat business anytime we are need of plumbing services. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful from Vince, BJ, Joe, Wayne and Daniel. Highly recommended.

Update: we had a terrible experience with Barstow and Sons and moved our HVAC service to Staton. We could not be more pleased with the communication, level of professionalism, and results. Father and son HVAC team of Chip and Craig were awesome to have in our home.
