Traditional (Chemical) Water Softeners were developed in 1938 using resin and salt or potassium chloride for regeneration.
- DOES NOT filter water.
- Requires constant addition of salt or potassium to water.

The technician showed up on time and was very polite. I’m a young female and he definitely understood that we can be wary of technicians trying to upsell.
