Lead HVAC Technician

If you are an experienced install HVAC technician who takes pride in their work, we want you to work with us! Staton Heating, Cooling & Plumbing has been in business for over 37 years and we are looking for rock stars to grow with our company. We are a 2nd generation family-owned and operated plumbing, heating & cooling company and we are adding new technicians to our team. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of HVAC experience with new installations, replacements and repairs. Must be detail-oriented, dependable, possess a great work ethic and a clean driving record. Salary is based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance. 401K with company match. Paid holidays, sick leave and vacation.

We are ideally looking for a professional, career-driven install technician who can also run service calls when not installing equipment. This position is for both commercial and residential applications.

Skills Required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with management on what is needed to complete install work assigned
  • Coordinate with vendors if necessary
  • Meet expected completion timelines
  • Run service calls if not installing equipment
  • Installation of all residential conventional equipment
  • Mini-split installation

A company vehicle, gas card, cell phone and tablet will be provided.

Supplemental Pay

Had pipe leaking inside a wall that was discovered pretty late in the day. Noah was our repair person. He was super friendly, found the problem quickly and was able to make a same day repair even though it was pretty late in the evening. This company's communication is always excellent, and they and Noah kept me informed at every step.

A picture hanging above our toilet fell and knocked the valve for the toilet off the wall which created a gusher of water. We turned off our water to stop the damage and are grateful that Statin showed an hour and a half later and completely repaired our issue.

Sam Northup is the consummate professional. His displayed skill and workmanship gave me a new appreciation for the plumbing craft. He brought a creative solution to the problem of relocating the plumbing for a 1/2 bathroom vanity renovation. I knew from the moment he placed his shoe protectors on and engaged with his friendly, informative style that he was one of the best in the trade. My neighbor had a gas leak that caused me and my other attached neighbors serious problems. Once the gas leak was found and BGE turned the gas off, the emergency was over. Until I had my gas turned back on and my water heater said not today. I have a company I usually call, but decided to get another quote from Staton since they could come out the next morning.
Matt came out and did a thorough examination, walked me through all of my options. Everything he said made sense but the deciding factor was that they could start the very next day.
Staton kept me updated the whole process. Matt came the next morning with help and replaced/upgraded my water heater, replaced my 20yr old water basin, and re-piped some areas to make it more efficient. All this in about 6 hours. Matt was awesome and was great with my dogs.
Now was this work cheap, absolutely not. But considering I bought my last water heater in 2015, inflation was coming for me. Besides all the work they did, I also bought their membership so something like this wouldn't catch me unprepared. So I have hot water again and no gas explosions. 10/10
