Testing Your Well Water For Iron & PH Level

Here are some of the common indicators to look for if you are concerned about your well water:

  • It tastes metallic or smells bad
  • Has a discolored appearance
  • Sink or bathtub gets an orange or rusty ring

Get Well Water Treatment From Staton Heating, Cooling & Plumbing

Well water treatment options vary widely depending on your home’s needs. In addition to removing contaminants from drinking water, water treatment protects plumbing systems from corrosion and can improve the water’s overall taste.

Feel free to contact our team of experts if you need help choosing the right well water treatment system for your home.

Choosing the Right Water Filtration System

Physical barriers are used to remove impurities from water during the filtering process. Among the most common water filtration systems are:

  • A reverse osmosis system uses pressure to force water through a membrane casing. This reduces the concentration of heavy metals, including copper, chromium, and lead, in water.
  • A carbon filter improves the taste and clarity of water by removing certain impurities. Due to its porous nature, activated carbon traps certain particles.

Water Softeners For Well Water Treatment

Water softeners are typically used when filtration systems cannot alter the hardness of the water. By removing the calcium and magnesium ions the water softener decreases the hardness of the well water.

Joe was timely, friendly, and the mechanical repair was performed on our shower mixer as requested. I am holding back the fifth star due to the finishing. The old caulk was not completely removed from the faucet trim, the new caulk was not applied thoroughly, and plumbers putty waste was left in the tub and on the fixture. Otherwise, good experience.

I had an emergency sewer backup. The first company I called told me twice someone would call. After 2 hours no plumber. I called Staton and their plumbers were there in 45 minutes. They were the best, professional, courteous and cleaned everything before they left. They are the plumbers I will call in the future. Thank you Joe and your team. EG
