Make sure you call Staton Heating, Cooling & Plumbing at the first sign of sewer backups.

Intrusions by tree roots

Roots naturally gravitate to stagnant or leaking pipes looking for nourishment. Tree roots can travel far into a sewage system and sneak into small holes or cracks in pipe sections to infiltrate it. Staton Heating, Cooling & Plumbing technicians have seen this firsthand. When a tree reaches water, its roots begin to grow in that area. If you have more roots growing into your sewer system, the hole will grow wider, and before you know it, the whole system will be clogged.

Water in your toilet bowl, gurgling sounds from your toilet, drains not draining properly, and sewage backup in your bathtub are all signs of an intrusion.

Solutions for tree root intrusion

We will break up the clog caused by tree roots to restore your sewer’s efficiency.

Hydro jetting: The pipe can be cleaned using pressurized water jets by our technician for a long-term solution. In this way, grease, tree roots, and debris will be thoroughly removed from the line as the jets thoroughly scour it.

Pipelining: Water leakage can be completely eliminated by lining your entire sewer pipe with a “sleeve”. There may be a chance we can line just the problematic section of the pipe. It saves time and money by eliminating trenching and demolition.

Pipe bursting: We can also solve your sewer problem by using hydraulics to break apart the old pipes (whether clay, cast iron, or PVC), then install the replacement seamless pipes at the same time.

Maintenance: We also have a plan that helps to keep grease and other household debris out of the drains by performing regular inspections and drain cleaning. Moreover, the treatment will prevent clogs in unlined pipes caused by roots.

When To Call Sewer Repair Contractors?

To prevent a serious problem or raw sewage backup, call us even if you think you’ve got a small drain problem. In most cases, our plumbers use a special cable device or auger to open the drain. In the event that this doesn’t work, more advanced methods will need to be used. Occasionally, tree roots can cause drain pipes to collapse. Pipe cracks and joints are also common entry points for tree roots. Some sewer blockages can be caused by discarded food or garbage disposal waste, hair, soap residue, bulky toilet paper, or sanitary products.

Robert Moyer just came out to check on a leak at my in laws home. He checked over all of the potential sources for the leak and discovered a small issue with the existing clothes washer. He was very polite and kind to my elderly mother in law, explaining what he found. He even checked the toilet previously installed by Staton. Exceptional customer service!

Steve came out for our second HVAC maintenance check of the year. He did a thorough and great checking out our entire system. This wasn’t one of those 15 minute “everything is fine “ checks. Steve took his time and kept me informed of his progress and everything he checked on the unit. We have a maintenance plan with have been happy with the service and quality of their techs. The customer service is excellent from the initial call and scheduling all the way through completion.
