About Our Company

Since 1983, Staton Heating, Cooling & Plumbing has been providing trusted service to homeowners in Central Maryland.

As a family-owned and operated company, we understand the importance of treating you like family while inside your home. "Family" is also the impetus for our new design that pays homage to our past and present, featuring founder, William L. Staton, and his son and current owner Will F. Staton. Family is such a huge part of who we are, so it only felt right to make this the focus of our brand and position ourselves as the family that takes care of yours.

STATON ORIGIN

In 1983, William. L Staton, Master Plumber and Gasfitter, opened his plumbing company in Anne Arundel County. Since then, Staton has been committed to meeting customers’ needs and providing services that are at a level above and beyond other providers. The goal of the company is to provide people-focused experiences, delivering exceptional heating, cooling, and plumbing solutions to our customers. All Staton work is guaranteed by The Staton Family Promise. The technicians are certified, and the company is licensed, insured and bonded.

William F. Staton, W L.’s son, also a Master Plumber and Gasfitter, assumed the day-to-day operating responsibilities of Staton in 2012, so his dad could enjoy some time off. Since that time, Will F. has exponentially grown the business. The family and team at Staton understood the synergies between plumbing, heating and cooling, so an HVAC division was started in 2021. It has grown by leaps and bounds and enables Staton to provide even more extensive and exemplary service to their customer base. In 2024, the company updated its branding to better reflect the family-oriented service culture they've been providing for over 40 years.

Jason did a great job. He quickly realized that the sink that was clogged was not the best way to snake out the problem. So he snaked it from the bathroom sink which was immediately behind the kitchen. The clog got cleared and when they were finished they cleaned up and when they left it was as if they were not there. I would definitely use Stanton again.

Jason and Drew were extremely helpful in assessing what plumbing work needs to be done for planned bathroom renovations. They gave me multiple options, including suggestions on how to keep costs down. The walked me through the process of what work needed to be done first, second, third, etc., and what other contractor work likely would be necessary. Highly recommend!

We currently have a gas leak and were informed by Washington gas that it was on our side. Staton was able to make an appointment for the next morning and Stephen came out to evaluate for the repair. Was right on time and I showed him where the leak was determined to be from the Washington gas personnel and then I asked him if he could evaluate the entire line because if we were going to do this work then I'd like for the entire indoor line to be evaluated for repairs. He went to turn the gas back on to evaluate for leaks and used a solution to determine that the leaks were actually coming from the gas meter. Even with that information he still did the entire inside line twice to determine if there were also leaks inside our home.
In the meantime I was on the phone with the Washington gas getting them to return and the technician redid the outside meter for me so that I could take pictures showing evidence of the leak.
On top of that he said he spoke to his manager and was not going to charge me for the evaluation which I was fully expecting to pay for because they came out and did their job it wasn't their fault that Washington gas was incorrect in their original evaluation.
I'm not even a returning customer this was a new customer experience because the HVAC company that we normally use told me it would be a week until they could get somebody out to assess which is unrealistic for a gas leak and your gas is turned off in the middle of winter with two babies at home meaning no heat and no hot water.
At this time I don't have any resolution for the gas leak because I'm waiting on Washington gas but I'm incredibly impressed with their responsiveness and how diligent they were in their process. They easily could have come in said oh that's where Washington gas said the leak was great it's going to be $2,500 to repair this inside line. Not only did they not do that but they also did their due diligence to diagnose the leak correctly which is ultimately going to keep my family safe.
The technician Stephen was also really nice guy. He did not blow off my concerns and /or my suggestions/questions and showed me what was going on instead of just rambling off with details. I appreciate expertise but I also need to know what it means in layman's terms as a homeowner. And I don't always have that experience when dealing with home repairs.
